Freddy Fudd Pucker / Adult Magic / Trostski Nautique / LUM

EP time again! Four completely unrelated EPs. covering folk, punk, synth-pop, and dance-folk.
Here are three new releases and one pretty obscure classic.

Freddy Fudd Pucker - Black Hole Bait

New EP from this Berlin-based Kiwi, recorded during a locked-down winter, and suitably morose for it, with a noticeably more melancholy feel than the album I posted here previously. It's gentle, calming, and quite touching, with the warmth and the vocal drawl of closing track "Lonely Us" even giving us a surprising earworm.

Adult Magic - Leftovers EP

Two originals and two covers from these Long Island punks featuring members of Iron Chic, Crow Bait, Down In The Dumps, Jonesin', and Wax Phantom, amongst heaps more. The two originals are outstanding, and whilst the transition to the two covers doesn't feel super-smooth, the songs themselves round the EP out nicely.

Trotski Nautique -  Y en a un peu plus j'vous l'met quand mรชme? EP

Trotski Nautique return after their excellent recent album with a new EP. Supposedly they were planning to do some live streams but then realised they didn't have a webcam, so released this record instead, which features Bitpart and Lรฉgumes Sex guitarist ร‰ric on one song, and maintains the groups' penchant for producing awesome off-kilter synth pop.

LUM - EP 1

LUM was the moniker of Toronto's Liam Sanagan (who I think is now producing music under the name The Techno Hall of Fame), who took folk and EDM and mixed them up into an enticing combination. This EP was a release on the awesome but now apparently (and sadly) defunct Canadian netlabel JUICEBOXdotcom, but thanks to the Wayback Machine I can still share this (no streaming though). It was a favourite of mine when it was released and it still sounds awesome today.
