Released yesterday via a slew of awesome labels (All In Vinyl, Bloated Kat Records, Brassneck Records, Cat's Claw Records, Horn & Hoof Records, plus the new Kezy P Recs - there was no way this wasn't gonna pop up on my radar) this is the debut full length from Crocodile God frontman and ex-The No Marks guitarist/singer Mark Murphy's solo-ish project.
A punk album that's wonderfully poppy with superb punchy production and Mark's distinctive vocals, the 10 songs here fly by and are a joy as they do so. Lyrically the focus seems to be on relationships and loss, but there's no cringe-worthiness to be found, and what is here works really well.
Granted as records go "On The Brink" is a bit on the short side, but then again it seems to hold up pretty well to repeat listenings, and there's certainly no filler. Even the slightest of fans of melodic pop punk should lap this up.
