Endless Mike and the Beagle Club are a collective formed around singer-songwriter Mike Miller, who nominally play folk-punk, although in practice they draw on a heap of different influences.
With this 2016 effort, which was the band's first full-length in 8 years (EDIT: and was released precisely 5 years ago today!), they explore tales of St. Paul, although this isn't a Christian album per se, with inspiration drawn from the Bible as literature rather than dogma.
Feverish and exuberant, delicate and affecting, not to mention humorous, it's an enthralling listen, with an abundance of storytelling and varied musical styles, and is certainly a record that is rewarding to delve into.
