Bent Denim are Ben and Dennis, a duo who describe their efforts as "nightmare pop", although a quick genre search on Bandcamp gives me the distinct impression other musicians are using that term differently.
The pair send tracks to and fro between their homes in Nashville, NY and New Orleans to compose their brand of delicate melancholy indie dream pop that reminds me of a mix of Sparklehorse and Radical Face although maybe doesn't quite hit such lofty heights.
"Town & Country" is their most recent album from 2018, and is a really pleasing listen, with its chilled slow-paced pop lullabies providing a real sense of intimacy and calm, and indeed beauty.
