Kaatraya is prolific Brasilia artist Caio Lemos, whose music is a tantalising blend of Brazilian Folk and Black Metal, plus a touch of Psychedelic Rock and Ambient Electronica. This is his most recent album from last year.
The tribal feel of much of the folk complements the primal sense of much of the metal, leading to an organic mix that evokes the very dusky forest depicted on the artwork.
With three tracks in just under 55 minutes, Caio won't be raking in that Spotify cash (not sure anyone does really, but that's a discussion for another day), but he has succeeded in producing an eminently impressive and unique record.
