Halfway To Hell Club - Bridges, Matches, & Gasoline

 


Featuring members of Long Island's Sister Kisser (who I should probably also post about here at somepoint), and released by the superb Dead Broke Rekerds, this is an album of damn fine anthemic melodic / gruff punk. 

The ten songs here fly by, but that's not a bad thing given how with some music familiarity can enhance enjoyment, and that's very much the case here. 

That's not to say there isn't instant gratification to be had; songs like "Meanwhile, Back in Quantico..." and "Best Friend" certainly provide that, but I still think this one takes a few listens to get into, which to be fair is true for many of my favourite albums...
