It's hard to overstate just how good RVIVR were (are? Sometimes maybe?), and this, their self-titled debut full-length, is genuinely a melodic punk classic.
The songwriting is superb, the production sounds great, and the dual vocals from Mattie Jo Canino and Erica Freas are spot on. They're even not afraid to throw in the odd guitar solo, and the guitar sound is wonderful.
I like how opener "Rain Down" and closer "Change on Me" tie together, and how that creates familiarity from the first listen, yet avoids becoming repetitive due to the strength of the songs and the variations within them.
If you are new to the band and enjoy melodic punk then you should be very excited 'round about now, cos you're about to listen to one of the best bands in the genre.
