Yesterday's Ring was a country-folk side-project featuring members of Quรฉbรฉcois punks The Sainte Catherines. This is their 2nd full-length from 2005.
Punks often seem to go folk/country pretty naturally, and Yesterday's Ring were no exception. Whiskey-soaked vocals, melancholy vibes for the most part, a knees up hoedown feel for the livelier numbers, a gorgeous duet on "A Small Piece of Paper in My Shoe", it's all here.
A great album for a rainy day.
