Accidente are a female-fronted punk band from the Madrid area, and an act who I have tried to catch live several times, but for different reasons never quite managed to. This is their second album from 2014, and my personal favourite of theirs.
Their brand of fast and melodic punk might not be immediately evident on opener "¿A cambio de qué?" with its wonderful slow building intro, but all becomes clear soon enough; short sweet blasts of tuneful punk with superb vocals and tight musicianship.
Socially and politically aware lyrics (with English translations on their bandcamp page, and really worth reading) and a fierce DIY ethic are two other big parts of their identity.
Absolutely fantastic band, and a wonderful record.
