Greenland is Melting - Our Hearts are Gold, Our Grass is Blue

I haven't exactly posted anything that comes close to bluegrass thus far, but how about a band that mashed up bluegrass and punk? Not two genres that often go to together, although to be fair this album is far more the former than the latter.

No clue if a bluegrass connoisseur would like this (I know a guy, I should probably ask him) but to my untrained ears the music sounds pretty legit, as do the vocals and harmonies. "No More Sorry Songs" is probably the punkest thing here, with its more "impassioned" vocals, but it's still pretty damn bluegrass.

Greenland is Melting, who played their last show 5 years ago, were blatantly a talented bunch and this, their 2009 debut full-length, is a toe-tapping, head-nodding, and just sheer enjoyable way to wile away time whilst relaxing in your favourite rocking chair.
