Two EPs doth make an album, right? Released 20 years apart, the common tie here is top-notch melodic punk / hardcore.
Hooton 3 Car's debut EP is an absolute classic to this day, with each of the 4 songs here easily among the most iconic the band produced. You've got the superb riffs, memorable choruses, THAT guitar sound, it is probably the perfect EP. Crackle Records went on to put out a 2-CD discography release, which I highly recommend.
Pure Graft's 5 track Casual Labour EP is a touch heavier, faster, and more gravelly than the Spot Daylight EP, but otherwise doesn't really break the mould, with once again the riffs, choruses, and guitar sound that makes this sub-genre so damn enjoyable on full display. This is a cracking EP, and I really want a Pure Graft full-length.
Enjoy!
