If you're still searching for your soundtrack for this year's spooky celebrations, you might want to consider this rather varied collection of creepy covers from the prolific Skatune Network.
This time around movie themes (Beetlejuice), game soundtracks (Luigi's Mansion), and cartoons (Scooby Doo, Steven Universe) are represented and receive the ska treatment alongside Halloween stalwarts like "Monster Mash" and "Spooky Scary Skeletons", and the record culminates with a faithful Skatalites cover in the form of the title track.
Whilst there are many other songs that could have easily fit into this collection, what is here has the high production values and skillful implementation that has become the trademark of Jer and Skatune Network, if not quite the cohesive feel of past releases.
Still, this is heaps of fun.
