When I first heard of The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die I figured with a name like that there was no way they could be anything else but an emo act, and indeed they are, but there's a little more to them than that.
Often termed "emo revival", they are as much an indie band as an emo one, and also throw a little punk and synth goodness around from time to time on this, their third and most recent full-length from 2017.
There are epic, atmospheric moments, there are contemplative, reflective parts, there are blistering punk bits; it's a well-rounded, intricate, and rewarding record.
