Released by a slew of European and North American labels, "Tripalium" is the 2015 LP from French instrumental post-rockers Grand Détour.
If there were vocals we'd be talking screamo, but as it is we have something a touch more accessible, with delicate, gradually building soundscapes giving way to chunky and sometimes downright metal-esque riffs, or indie or math rock instrumental musings.
It's proficient stuff, executed well, and at times damn atmospheric.
