This is a split album from prolific London-based blues /punk singer-songwriter Tim Holehouse, and Gainesville, Florida's Kaleb Stewart, from As Friends Rust and Cro(w)s, who plays acoustic rock and punk.
Tim Holehouse opens the split with "Gainesville City Limits", an earworm of a driving rock song with gorgeous backing vocals. Things get gradually darker over the remaining four songs, culminating in the brooding "Guns of Brixton".
Kaleb Stewart's offering is more consistent, with four country tinged acoustic rock songs, albeit with a definite punk vibe on "I Keep Trying".
It's an enjoyable split, and a great intro to both artists should they be new to you.
