The Measure [sa] were a punk band from New Jersey who were active between 2005 & 2011, during which time they released 2 full lengths and a heap of singles - many of which were later compiled onto two releases, the first of which is this very record.
A compilation album this may be, but the songs aren't in chronological order and the whole thing has been remastered, and as such it holds together pretty well.
Musically we're talking punk that's certainly on the poppier side yet retains a definite edge. The vocals are primarily handled by singer/guitarist Lauren Denitzio, although other band members also chip in from time to time. There's hooks-a-plenty, a decent amount of variety, and it's a fun and rather irresistible listen, with some absolute bangers spread out amongst the 18 songs in about 38 minutes here.
