This is the re-release of the 1997 classic "Away Awhile..." by Minnesota's Porcelain Boys, remastered, with 2 bonus tracks taken from their 1996 split 7" with Marble.
It's a pop-punk album, but in the All / Big Drill Car vein, with catchy hooks, chugging yet noodley melodic guitars with plenty of solos, mostly clean vocals, and lots of time changes - ain't no "All the Small Things" here.
Indeed, a few of the songs (including the 7 minute title (give or take an ellipsis) track) give nods to the '90s alternative scene, and I'm sure fans of that type of music would be more than at home here.
Given there are still bands making similar music today, this hasn't really dated much 23 years down the line.
