I can't find much information online about Lynda Bostrom - the only thing I'm sure of is that she's responsible for this wonderful lo-fi stripped back effort from 2007, released by the now defunct (but thankfully still online) netlabel Arkain Records.
With just her vocals and acoustic guitar or piano for the most part, Lynda Bostrom crafted an album that's poignant, comforting, sincere, and at times truly mesmerising.
Granted, it's demo quality at best, but this adds to the sense of intimacy, as her voice and delicate playing wash over you in a calm and even reassuring manner.
For all its apparent simplicity, here's a record of subtlety and depth, surprisingly experimental in places, and one that reveals a little more of itself with each listen.
It's honest music laid-bare, and achingly beautiful for it.
