From Nantes, France, Heavy Heart describe themselves as a pop band. That may be over-simplifying things; discussions of genre have never been my forte, but it's certainly a guitar-forward kind of pop we have here, with a strong rock (and yes, punk) influence.

And it's great.

Some of the greatest albums are those that sound pretty good the first time around, enough to bring you back, and then reveal more of themselves on repeated listens. You might refer to such a record as a "grower" had that term not been... misappropriated. Anyway, "Love Against Capture" goes in that box.

It's an album of both slightly gravelly and clean melodic vocals, and group sing-a-long choruses. One of both intricate and driving guitar work (it's always driving isn't it?). And one of really catchy songs, but in the context of an ever-so cohesive record.

Stick it on repeat.
